Changing the Moral Narrative About Poverty

140 million Americans are poor or low-income. More than 750,000 Americans are homeless, and this number is rapidly increasing. Affordable housing has become non-existent, and wages gave actually dropped for low-income workers while the wealthy have become so rich that economic inequality is greater than any time in history, and greater in America than any other country. 82% of the tax cut last year went to the wealthiest Americans. We must stop blaming the poor and school ourselves in understanding the connections between systemic poverty, systemic racism, militarism and war economy, environmental devastation, and the false moral narrative.
